Hi.
I started creating ceramic art about 15 years ago. I was looking for unique lighting fixtures for my new home and since I could not find anything I liked I decided to make them myself. The pleasure of the work and enthusiasm of friends encouraging me to continue to create and sell my work to stores worldwide kept me going on.
Dealing with art is a passion and pure pleasure that fills my life. Constantly, I find myself working for hours in my studio, immersed in the material, color and shape.
I usually get excited when my early planning of design turns into a surprise unexpectedly.
Most of the items combine various materials. I find myself many times cutting and sewing with materials like wood, wire, copper, cotton, glass beads and natural stones.
I combine in my ceramic art aesthetics and functionality. It's Important to have home accessories that will be comfortable and effective in daily use, so I create them thin as possible and coat them with colors and glazes that are non toxic. Even though the home accessories are very thin, they are strong and stablebecause of the high temperature of 1200 degrees they are burned in. My ceramic art pieces can be used in the dishwasher, microwave and baking oven.
My Inspiration comes at any moment and from anywhere: people, landscapes, colors, flavors and from a significant part from the environment I live in. Every morning, before I sit down at my desk, I take a look at the amazing forest view from the window of my house attic studio. The Forest is often quiet and calm, sometimes has sizzling sounds and life, but always creates me a sense of freedom and endless liberation.
Every day I create unique items that tell my story at that moment. Light fixtures, art mosaic, ceramic art and decorative items for home, garden and special events. Every item I create is a story. The story I had at that moment it was made. That is why there are no 2 identical pieces of art. They are similar but not identical.
So, something of me, will always remains for others, leaving them a sign of love in my art.
